Today, I am going to share with you one of my favorite ways on how to make roasted Asparagus.

1. After cleaning the asparagus, trim them up either by snapping or cutting them (an inch or so from the bottom)

2. Place the cut asparagus onto a rimmed baking sheet and drizzle them with a teaspoon of olive oil and sprinkle the seasoning once the asparagus are all coated with oil.

3. Arrange the asparagus onto a baking sheet in a single layer (make sure they are evenly spread out).

4. Bake in the preheated oven at 400°F for 25 minutes, or until tender when pierced with a knife.

hey guys it’s Danny now spring is in the
air and asparagus is all around us so I
wanted to share with you one of my
favorite ways to make and eat asparagus
for this how-to I’m showing you how to
roast asparagus once you’ve got your
asparagus clean we need to trim them up
so you can do this the old natural way
just pick up your asparagus take your
thumbs about an inch or so from the
bottom of the spare get stock and gently
push and you’ll see that it naturally
snaps where that tough woodsy part meets
the more tender part of the asparagus
but in all honesty what I usually do is
I just line all my asparagus up like so
and do them all at once grab a knife and
cut about an inch and a half up from the
bottom of the stalk then you’re going to
pop your asparagus onto a rimmed baking
sheet and then drizzle them with a
teaspoon of olive oil that’s all it
takes give it a little bit of salt and a
little black pepper and then just use
your fingers make sure everybody’s got a
little love and then once they’re all
coated with the oil and the seasoning
you just want to spread them out on the
baking sheet you do not want them to
touch because if they’re touching you
end up with steamed asparagus and we
want roasted asparagus so just spread
them out once your baking sheet looks
like this you’re going to pop it into a
400 degree oven for 25 minutes
but roasted asparagus is definitely a
delicious side dish but you can also use
it as a head-start ingredient so a lot
of times what I’ll do when asparagus is
in season I’ll roast it up on Sunday
when I do the rest of my food prep and
then I use it as a head-start ingredient
adding it into things like a green salad
or sometimes I’ll chop it up scribble it
into some eggs or one of my favorites is
to chop it up and add it into a fresh
quinoa salad lots of options guys oh
yeah check this out these are roasted
perfectly there’s still a little bit
crisp but they’re tender and you’re
gonna see they’re gonna be nice and
creamy on the inside with that deep rich
roasted flavor mmm it’s creamy in the
middle the outside still a little bit
firm and roasting it it just gives it
such a depth of flavor you guys have got
to try roasting your asparagus thanks so
much for watching guys i’m danny Spees
i’m gonna see you next time with some
more clean and deliciousness the spring
is coming and we’re getting ready to
shed but in the meantime you got a tuck
your winter weight in your pants you got
a Duke you into it in your PIN I know
you guys know what I’m talking about
tuck it in and get ready.
